Globe Valves
Petro-Valve offers a wide variety of globe valves from well-known brands including Aloyco, Crane, DSI, Edward, Nibco, Pacific Valves. Powell, and Vogt. Our globe valves can be constructed in bronze, cast iron, stainless steel, exotic alloy.
The globe valve, like the angle valve, is used primarily in throttling service to provide for efficient throttling. The valve seat is parallel to the line of flow in the globe valve. The shorter disc travel and fewer turns lead to less time and wear on the valve stem and bonnet. Usually the seat and disc of the angle valve can be repaired without removing the valve from the line. One advantage of globe valves is efficient throttling with little disc and seat erosion or wire drawing.
